Saraswatichandra has his marriage fixed with Kumud, but he decides to cancel the engagement and writes a letter to her. Interestingly, through their exchange of letters, love begins to take place. However, under strange circumstances and family pressure Kumud gets married with Prabhat, a flirty man. The story takes twists and turns as Kumud and Saraswatichandra meet accidently again in their life. Also in a series of incidents occurs Prabhat's death. Eventually climax unites the two true lovers.
