'मुल्क' बहुत ही संवेदनशील और समाज से जुड़े विषयों पर बनी फिल्म है जिसके जरिये डायरेक्टर अनुभव सिन्हा ने अपनी बात कहने की कोशिश की है। किसी भी धर्म पर शक करना सही नहीं होता। फिल्म मुल्क एक मुस्लिम परिवार की कहानी है, जिसने अनहोनी घटना के बाद अपना सम्मान खो दिया और उसे फिर से पाने की जद्दोजहद में है...

फिल्म 'मुल्क' की शुरूआत बनारस की खूबसूरत झलकियों से होती है। जहां के मशहूर मुराद अली मोहमम्द (ऋषि कपूर) एक जाने-माने वकील हैं जिनके मोहल्ले में कई हिंदू दोस्त भी हैं। उनके परिवार में हैं उनकी बीवी तबस्सुम (नीना गुप्ता),छोटा भाई बिलाल (मनोज पावा) छोटे भाई की पत्नी छोटी तबस्सुम (प्राची शाह) और उनका बेटा शाहिद मोहमम्द (प्रतीक बब्बर) साथ ही एक बेटी भी है जिसका नाम
आयत है। वहीं इसी बीच इस परिवार की बहू आरती मोहम्मद (तापसी पन्नू) जर्मनी से अपने पति के रिश्तें को सुलझाने के लिए इंडिया आती है।

मोहमम्द के हंसते-खेलते परिवार पर मुसीबत तब आती है जब परिवार का बेटा शाहिद आतंकवादी हमने में शामिल हो जाता है और जल्द ही पुलिस ऑफिसर दानिश जावेद (रजत कपूर) के साथ हुए मुतभेंड में मारा जाता है। जिसके बाद उनके धर्म की वजह से पूरे मोहमम्द परिवार को ही आतंकवादी साबित करने की कोशिशें शुरू हो जाती हैं। ऐसे में इस परिवार को न सिर्फ अपने ऊपर लगे इल्जामों से मुक्ति पानी है, बल्कि अपने मुल्क के लिए प्यार को भी साबित करना है। अब इस खोये सम्मान को पाने के लिए मोहमम्द और उसके परिवार को जद्दोजहद करना पड़ता है, देखिये इस फिल्म मुक्ल में ...
